Former Coach Stan Van Gundy Shares Powerful Message with the “All Lives Matter” Community

Stan Van Gundy, despite not coaching in the NBA currently, is using his platform to guide the entire nation through the challenges of racial inequality.

The current NBA analyst has been active on social media, offering insights to the nation following the tragic death of George Floyd.

Van Gundy tweeted, “Two steps we must take before we can address racial injustice in our country. First, we need to educate ourselves on the true history of racial issues (not the version taught in schools). Second, we must confront our problems head-on. Progress can only be made when we acknowledge the issues honestly.”

Recently, he directed a tweet towards the ‘All Lives Matter’ movement.

To the All Lives Matter crowd — white lives have ALWAYS mattered here. But blacks have been violently oppressed for 400 years — slavery, Jim Crow, lynchings, mass incarceration, police shootings. That’s why we need to keep fighting until it’s a reality that Black Lives Matter.
