The NBA championship ring given by Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant to his father, Joe Bryant, did not reach the expected value of $250,000 at auction.

Kobe Bryant gifted the ring to his father after the 2000 NBA Finals, and it was sold for $132,000 at Goldin Auctions on Saturday. Another ring given to Bryant’s mother, Pamela, was sold for $206,000 at an auction in May.

Joe and Pamela Bryant had previously put the rings up for auction in 2013 as part of settling a lawsuit filed by Kobe to prevent them from selling his memorabilia.

These championship rings were among the six items permitted to be sold by Kobe’s parents, as reported by TMZ. The collector who bought the set paid $280,000 for it.

Following Kobe’s tragic passing in January, there has been a surge of Kobe-related items hitting the auction scene, with many fetching significantly higher prices than before.
