On Thursday, the Charlotte Hornets introduced a fresh Nike NBA City Edition uniform for the upcoming 2022-23 NBA season. The 2022-23 City Edition uniform features the mint, gold, and granite color scheme from the 2020-21 City Edition.

The jersey prominently displays the “CLT” acronym which is widely recognized in Charlotte.

However, people outside Charlotte interpreted the abbreviation differently, leading to a flurry of sexual jokes about the “CLT” and the way the No. 1 was positioned on the jersey, resembling something men might seek in a woman.

One individual humorously quipped, “A CLT vs Cream City game would’ve been legendary.”

The unveiling sparked a wave of jokes on social media, reflecting light-heartedly on the jersey’s unintentional design resemblance. The Hornets plan to wear these jerseys for 10 home games and nine away games this season, so the jokes are likely to persist.

On the court, the team is struggling with a 3-9 record and a six-game losing streak.
